OUR STORY
The birth of a bank that was already unique…
The ODDO BHF Group was born out of the merger of three institutions sharing the same core values of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and commitment. Banque S. Hollard was founded in Switzerland in 1780 and renamed Landolt & Cie in 1990, making it the oldest bank in French-speaking Switzerland. In 1849, ODDO was founded in Marseille, France, as a foreign exchange broker. Between 1854 and 1856 in Germany, Frankfurter Bank and Berliner Handels-Gesellschaft were established, later merging to form BHF. In 2017, ODDO acquired BHF and in 2020 consolidated its position in Switzerland by acquiring Landolt et Cie, with branches in Lausanne and Geneva.
Today, ODDO BHF is a solid family Group, managed by the 5th generation. The Oddo family holds 65% of the capital, 25% is held by employees and 10% is held by the Bettencourt Meyers family (Téthys), Thierry Lombard, Pierre Landolt and Natixis. These different aspects reflect an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to values such as innovation, financial creativity and wealth preservation.
