OUR HISTORY
A unique bank from the very beginning
The ODDO BHF financial group is made up of three institutions with the same core values – entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and commitment.
In 1780, Banque S. Hollard, later Landolt & Cie., was founded in Switzerland and is now the oldest bank in French-speaking Switzerland.
In 1849, the stockbroker Oddo was established in Marseille.
Between 1854 and 1856, Frankfurter Bank and Berliner Handels-Gesellschaft were founded and merged to become BHF-BANK in 1970.
In 2017, ODDO acquired BHF and in 2020 consolidated its position in Switzerland by acquiring Landolt et Cie, with branches in Lausanne and Geneva.
ODDO BHF is German-French owner-managed private bank and has been owned by five generations of the same family. The Oddo family holds 65% of the capital, employees hold 25% and 10% is held by the Bettencourt Meyers family (Téthys), Thierry Lombard, Pierre Landolt and Natixis.
Our ownership structure reflects our unique entrepreneurial spirit – because our employees are our co-entrepreneurs, we put our clients at the centre of everything we do and strive to always offer them the best solutions.
At our locations in Germany, France and Switzerland, we offer a holistic private wealth management and asset management service.
